This is really good. But I do not understand the idea of WORDPRESS to keep URL non SEO friendly as default. They can set Default ULD structure as SEO friendly and its only can be changed if user want to....and of course who want to change it. This will help NON Techiee people to have SEO friendly BLOG by default.

This is a fine artilce. Also to increase seo get the module SEO in one place of the wordpress website. I would also recomend adding keywords which you are targeting into your posts.

Thanks for the post. I will start making those changes to my blog. I created my title as "Little Tartlets" although my specialty lies with making cream cheese tarts. I have now realised that the most popular searches are cream cheese tarts, or strawberry cheese tarts. So, will have to make some changes. But anyway, thanks for the post again! Hope to see more of your updates.

Some great tips here - although I'd say don't use %category% in the permalinks. I had a bad experience once when I wanted to reorganise my categories and I ended up with a whole lot of broken links pointing to my site (because the post had a new permalink).
