One would do well to fill a niche someone has not already covered -- he would get a lot of readers that way. Another option for a blogger would be to write a blog on a niche that <i>is already covered,</i> but do it in a spectacular way! Which leads me to my second point. For me to love a blog, it must be very well written. It also must contain great content. I also like a blog that is interactive. This is hard to accomplish, and how to do it can't always just be conveyed to the blogger (I mean it would be hard for me to tell you how YOU should personally do it with YOUR own blog) -- making a blog interactive is something each blogger must figure out how to do on his/her own blog -- in his/ her own style and way. Having an interactive blog does draw readers, bc an interactive blog is an interesting blog, keeps readers at your blog, and allows readers to have some ownership in the blog. Sometimes I want a blog that is lots of fun. I just want a break from life. Sometimes I want a blog that is very spiritual (Catholic) or motivational.
